The Sacrament of Matrimony
The matrimonial covenant, by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership of the whole of life, is by its nature ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring; this covenant between baptized persons has been raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a sacrament.
Catechism of the Catholic Church 1601
Now it is time to go about the business of preparing to enter into this sacred trust and life-long, loving relationship. To do so, please complete the following form at least 6 months before your scheduled wedding date.
After your form is submitted, you will be contacted by the parish staff to continue the preparation process.
In the interim, you will also need to:
Obtain a recently issued copy of your Baptismal certificate which includes notations regarding your First Holy Communion and Confirmation dates
Obtain copies of any paperwork that pertains to a civil marriage or previous marriages
Review the options for marriage preparation classes and make arrangements to attend one of the choices.

Beloved is comprised of two parts: The Mystery and Meaning of Marriage (6 sessions) and Living Marriage (6 sessions). All 12 episodes can be used in Marriage Prep or for Marriage Enrichment. Just select your Leader and Couples Guides for "Preparation" or "Enrichment".

Whether you choose to sit one-on-one with a counselor, or take a weekend away with other couples, every program will cover the basic issues facing married couples: influences and demands of your families, role expectations, finances, communication styles, and more. Having these discussions before marriage sets you up to have clear expectations, shared visions, and tools for communicating when the road gets rocky. These preparation classes are required so that you have the best possible outcome for a life-long, loving marriage.
